How to change your eating habits permanently

Eating habits are not changed overnight. Add one or two small changes to your everyday life for half a year.

SPIEGEL WISSEN has developed a nine-week pleasure coaching program that teaches you how to eat with more pleasure while maintaining your weight. This is the last part.

For eight weeks, you've been studying how to bring more enjoyment, awareness, and acceptance into your eating habits. If you read all the tips and exercises again, you will find that some of them may have been particularly easy or have led to Aha experiences. Others may have been too banal or too difficult for you.

  

When it comes to food, people are very different, they struggle with different hurdles and have individual habits. That's why in this ninth week we'll briefly list all the tips and exercises we've presented to you. Please take a closer look at the final list and consider whether there is a single change or innovation that you want to keep in the time after the coaching. This can bring a lot – because who wants to eat with enjoyment and awareness, benefits the more, the more everyday the behavior becomes. So go:

  

        

  • Be aware of what you eat when, and how to feel physically and mentally.
  •     

  • Keep an essay that is not about counting calories, but about what food tasted and did well, and what food caused an uneasy feeling or physical sensation.
  •     

  • Exercises that train a mindful attitude and facilitate the perception of one's own feelings and sensations.
  •     

  • Detecting and changing emotional eating habits.
  •     

  • Enjoy favorite dishes with all your senses.
  •     

  • Enjoying the trappings while eating: conscious shopping, self-cooking, eating with friends or alone, or making small taste and taste tests.
  •     

  • Reduce temptations: shop less snacks and sweets.
  •     

  • Reduce temptations: always take delicious and as healthy as possible provisions.
  •     

  • Reduce seduction: observe oneself more socially in sociable situations.
  •     

  • Developing Alternatives to Food: Doing Little Things That Provide Joy.
  •     

  • Cultivating hobbies and interests, whether culture or sport – everything helps to enjoy life more. The pleasure of eating becomes one of several important pleasures.
  •     

  • Accept acceptance: do not tackle doubts and grumbling or your own looks, but hug the "monster".
  •     

  • Prove long breath and continue small changes.
  •   

  

Did you find something that suits you? Well. Commit at this point to maintain this change for another three months . It will do you good.
