On the 3rd of October, 2019, the first film was released in Austria for the filming of DER BOANDLKRAMER AND ETERNAL LOVE. The movie features Michael Bully Herbig and Hape Kerkeling in front of the camera for the first time. The film will be shot at different locations in Bavaria and Austria until the end of November.
Something like that has never happened to Boandlkramer (Michael Bully Herbig): for the first time, for thousands of years, he's hit by Cupid's arrow. When he sees the Gefi (Hannah Herzsprung), the mother of Maxl, it happened to him – death has fallen madly in love! The love-drunk Boandlkramer gets involved in a more or less clever deal with the devil (Hape Kerkeling) and not only upsets the divine plan – it even threatens absolute chaos!
Then a 'Kerschgeist! The idea for DER BOANDLKRAMER AND ETERNAL LOVE came from Michael Bully Herbig ("The Shoe of the Manitu", "Wickie and the Strong Men"), who conquered the big screen eleven years ago in "The Story of the Brandner Kaspar" as Boandlkramer. In addition to Herbig as a human Boandlkramer audience favorite Hape Kerkeling plays the role of the devil in the new movie.
Joseph Vilsmaier ("Comedian Harmonists", "Herbstmilch") takes over, as in "The Story of Brandner Kaspar" the director. Marcus H. Rosenmüller ("Who Dies Earlier Is Longer Dead") and Ulrich Limmer ("Sams" Films) are responsible for the script.
THE BOANDLKRAMER AND ETERNAL LOVE is a production of the Perathon media in coproduction with LEONINE and herbX film. The project is funded by FilmFernsehFonds Bayern.
