It's finally time for Season 4 by Riverdale. The new episodes will bring some big changes. This includes the disappearance of Fred Andrews (Luke Perry) from the series. After the tragic death of the actor, he was now emotionally honored in episode 1. Here's how the Season's storyline will change.
The death of Luke Perry in early March 2019 came as a complete surprise to his family. His colleagues on the set of Riverdale mourned for the actor. At the age of 52, Perry suffered a severe stroke and died shortly thereafter at the hospital. The makers puzzled over how to deal with his character Fred Andrews. Finally, they decided on a tribute episode as the beginning of the new season. The characters of the show said goodbye to Fred Andrews and Luke Perry.
In the first few minutes of the first episode, Archie Andrews receives a telephone message of his father's death. He learns that his father died in a car accident. The accident did not happen in Riverdale and the US Independence Day is approaching. Therefore, Fred's body can not be brought home until July 4. But Archie decides to bring his father home personally.
The 4th of July parade quickly becomes a parade for Fred Andrews. At his funeral Archie holds a very touching funeral oration that leaves no eye dry. He was the greatest person he ever knew. "Fred Andrews will always be part of Riverdale, I love you so much, Dad," Archie says.
