We'll tell you which bestseller you can watch as a Netflix series soon.
Streaming giant Netflix recently announced three literary serial projects. Among them is, for example, Tyll Daniel Kehlmann. In 2017, the bestseller sold more than 600,000 copies in Germany alone. In Tyll, of course, it's about the mischievous vagabond Till Eulenspiegel. In the novel, we follow Eulenspiegel on his adventures as a traveling juggler. It is said that in the fourteenth century he was at work on marketplaces.
The new Netflix series will probably reflect that. The showrunners of Netflix hit Dark Baran Bo Doar and Jantje Friese take over the project. Who should take over the script and the main role, is still unclear. Netflix just confirmed that production should start soon. So far, the books were only filmed by Daniel Kehlmann. However, the cinema adaptations of The Surveying of the World and Fame were only moderately successful.
In addition to Tyll, however, another series versions of books are planned. Elif Shafak's Bestseller The Forty Secrets of Love is one of them. The 40-year-old reviewer Ella changed her entire life in it, when she loses herself in an old novel. In addition, an adaptation of Folk med ångest, written by the Swedish author Fredrik Backman. The title translated means as much as people with fear and is Backman's latest work. We look forward to seeing Netflix put the bestsellers into serial production. So far, the start dates of the three projects are not yet known.
